Both the Canadian and American governments have issued travel advisories to their citizens, significantly restricting international travel. The Government of Canada currently maintains a Level 3: “Avoid non-essential travel” advisory while the U.S Department of State has issued a Level 4 Global Health Advisory: “Do not travel”.
ME to WE Trips always considers the safety, security and well-being of our travelers, community members and staff to be our highest priority. With this in mind, ME to WE Trips is committed to working with each traveler, family and group to discuss options for your trip.
ME to WE Trips continues to monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation globally and locally for all our travel destinations including border closures and travel bans. Our experienced team is monitoring global updates and travel advice issued by the World Health Organization, as well through authorities including Public Health Canada (Canada) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (U.S.). Given the evolving nature of the situation‚ we will continue to keep our travelers informed of any advisory changes.

The health, safety, and well-being of our travelers, partners and community has always been our top priority. Since our launch in 2002, more than 40,000 youth and adults have traveled safely with ME to WE Trips around the world. Throughout that time, we’ve successfully and safely navigated travelers through a variety of disruptions and continue to adapt our policies to reflect current world issues.
From the start of a journey to its completion, we ensure that every point of our traveler’s experience meets stringent safety regulations—from travel routes to health and safety standards of our properties.
Because we’re owners and operators, all staff on our ME to WE Trips are employed by us and have undergone intensive training to manage challenging situations. Our Trip Facilitators are trained in first-aid, child protection and emergency response, and are also equipped with a thorough understanding of group dynamics, to ensure a seamless experience for all travelers.
Destinations have emergency response plans and standard operating procedures that have been vetted by third party experts, ensuring the health and safety of our guests.
Having spent twenty-five years working in the communities we visit, we have extremely close relationships with the local hospitals, medical facilities and medical practitioners. Our in-country teams have long-established communications protocols; they know what to do and where to go in an emergency.
