Nutrien Employee Kenya Trip

August 3, 2020 – August 11, 2020 (excluding travel)

Nutrien partners with WE as a founding partner of the WE Villages Food Pillar, helping empower farmers and communities globally with programs that promote food security and improved agricultural practices and is helping inspire and educate the next generation of youth on the importance of sustainable farming practices and how they relate to food security. Together we are working toward the Sustainable Development Goal of ending hunger and feeding 10 billion people by 2050.

Nutrien is providing the opportunity for 14 employees to travel on a ME to WE Trip to Kenya. You will have the opportunity to visit the communities Nutrien is supporting and see first-hand the impact Nutrien and WE are making!

The cost of one ME to WE trip per selected employee will be paid by Nutrien. Employees will be paid for their time on the trip based on regularly scheduled hours. Employees will be expected to cover the cost of international flights and any additional preparation costs, including visas, passports, vaccinations, etc. If you are selected and would like to share this opportunity with your family members or other guests, they are welcomed at a cost of $5,695 USD plus flights and any other related costs.

Applications will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. EST on April 3rd, 2020. You are required to secure approval from your immediate supervisor and HR department prior to submitting your application. Nutrien reserves the right to withdraw this approval if operational needs change between date of approval and trip date. You are currently in the application stage of this opportunity. If you are chosen to join us, we ask that you commit to sharing your experience with others, as follows: 1. Give back! Volunteer for a deserving organization or hold a fundraiser. Each participant will be asked to use their new-found knowledge and skills to contribute to their community by volunteering or holding a fundraiser for a worthy cause. 2. Spread the message! Let people know about what you have learned by sharing what you learned in Kenya with your colleagues, your family, and your local community by presenting your thoughts and experiences to one audience in the next six months. During the trip, you will experience some amazing things, and we guarantee that people will want to hear about them.
